Clams

Trials and tribulations of provisioning...

Linda and I created a great menu for our trip and we ordered our food in advance through provisioning services on the island.  We have everything from paper towels to steaks to French wine.

One of our dishes is linguini with clam sauce - an easy pantry recipe that we have made many times over the years.  We ordered cans of chopped baby clams. The provisioning service brought us 7 tins of smoked baby clams from China.  Smoked clams definitely don't work for our recipe even if they are "fancy" and "hand packed."
